Beckon. by David Talley

This is another piece by David Talley. It is very interesting with the subject a bit to the right, but her dress is blowing to the other side of the photo. Her hand is also guiding your eye to the left side, but you cannot help but notice her painful, sad appearance with her face covered on top of the ladder. Colors are lifeless, but I think the colors make it an effective photo. I really like how Talley's photographs do not seem overly 'photoshopped' and have a natural film feel to them. This photo is a great example of proper composition.

 This piece comes from a photographer by the name of David Talley. The work is haunting and spooky. The image looks like it was edited to look like film or it was film and scanned in to edit. I say this because you can see the dust and hair that comes up on film negatives.I like the subjects and the eerie feeling I get from the photograph.It is good with contrast and relates to how we edit in class. Levels are balanced, and the shadows bring out the spook factor. This could work as a black and white photo, but I like the cool color scheme in this.
